How we rate

How we collect and rate data

Every fee on this site is taken from the exchange's official fee page or official documentation. Each number links to its source, and every page shows the date it was last checked.

Where the numbers come from

Every fee on this site is taken from the exchange's official fee page or official documentation. Each number links to its source, and every page shows the date it was last checked.

Fees are quoted for the base tier (no VIP level, no token-payment discount). The exact basis is stated under each table, because exchanges publish tiers, ranges and promotions that make a single number misleading without context.

How often data is updated

An automated crawler re-checks official fee pages weekly. If a page changes, the value is flagged for manual review before it is published — a machine never marks data as verified on its own.

If data is more than 30 days old, the page shows a warning; over 90 days, the data is treated as stale and re-verified before the page is rebuilt.

How the verdict on comparison pages is made

Each row of a comparison has a rule that is fixed in advance: lower fee wins, more listed coins wins, a feature that is present wins. Rows that are only informational (leverage, KYC, founding year, headquarters, user counts claimed by the exchange) never award a win.

The verdict block simply counts those per-row results by group — fees, products, trust, access — and names the exchange with more wins in each group. There are no weights and no composite score, so the result is reproducible from the table alone. A weighted score would hide the trade-offs and could be suspected of being influenced by affiliate payouts.

Unconfirmed values are never compared. A group with fewer than two decided rows shows "not enough confirmed data" instead of a leader.

Affiliate independence

Some outbound links are affiliate links, marked and routed through /go/. Whether an exchange pays us has no effect on the data shown: numbers come from official sources regardless, and exchanges with no affiliate relationship are listed with the same data quality.

If we cannot verify a number, we show "Not confirmed" instead of a guess.

Corrections

If you find a number that no longer matches the official page, we want to fix it. The official source linked next to each value is always the authority.
